It is as much a bookend as it is a sculpture that plays with shape and repetition. We wanted to design bookends that could stand alone—without holding books—and be more like sculptures or pieces of art. At the same time, we wanted to create bookends from a single solid material that would absorb the shape of books and, therefore, disappear when books are placed between them.
These bookends are the perfect objects to place and decorate your favorite books with. They are made of artisan concrete using a hand-pressed marbling technique.
